32.5 for general building

Masonry, plaster, mortar, blocks and general concrete where very high strength is not needed.

42.5 for structural work

The all-round choice for foundations, slabs, columns, beams and ready-mix concrete.

52.5 for high strength

High-strength structural concrete, precast and prestressed work, and demanding projects.

Sulfate-resistant

Foundations, marine works and soils with high sulfate content.

How to read the grades: 32.5, 42.5 and 52.5 are the minimum 28-day compressive strength in MPa. N means normal early strength. R means high early strength, so it gains strength faster in the first days. CEM I is pure Portland cement and CEM II is blended.

Cement and clinker questions, answered

What builders, importers and distributors ask before they order.

What do 32.5, 42.5 and 52.5 mean in cement grades?

The number is the minimum 28-day compressive strength in megapascals (MPa). A 52.5 cement reaches a higher strength than a 42.5 or 32.5 cement.

What do N and R mean in cement grades?

N means normal early strength and R means high early strength. R cements gain strength faster in the first days, which helps with early formwork removal and fast-track work.

What is the difference between CEM I and CEM II cement?

CEM I is pure Portland cement with no additions, so it gains strength fastest. CEM II is blended, which gives lower heat of hydration and better long-term durability in mass and general concrete.

Which cement should I use for foundations, slabs and structural concrete?

42.5N is the all-round choice for foundations, slabs, columns and beams. Choose 52.5 for high-strength concrete and precast, and add sulfate-resistant cement where soil or water has high sulfate content.

When should I use sulfate-resistant cement?

Use it for foundations, marine works and soils with high sulfate content, where ordinary cement can deteriorate over time.

What is cement clinker?

Clinker is the intermediate product made by heating limestone and other raw materials in a kiln. It is ground with gypsum, and sometimes other additions, to make cement. Cement plants and grinding stations buy clinker in bulk.

Can I buy cement in bulk or in bags?

Yes. Every cement grade comes in 42.5 kg and 50 kg bags, plus bulk supply on request for larger orders. Clinker is supplied in bulk.

What information do you need to send a quote?

Send the product (cement or clinker), cement type and strength class, quantity in tons, packaging (bags or bulk), destination port and the date you need delivery.

Do you supply importers and distributors internationally?

Yes. We supply importers, distributors, contractors and cement plants. Tell us your destination port and we will confirm shipping options.
